Brianna Straut
Brianna Straut is an East Texas–born, Denver-based Americana artist whose songwriting is rooted in raw honesty and emotional depth. Blending themes of heartbreak, nostalgia, and resilience, her bittersweet folk sound captures both the ache of loss and the warmth of memories worth holding onto. With a voice as expansive and striking as the Rocky Mountains she now calls home, Straut draws audiences in through intimate, deeply human storytelling. Her performances create a powerful connection—equal parts vulnerable and commanding—leaving listeners feeling seen, understood, and moved. A recipient of the 2019 Denver Westword Music Award for Americana/Roots, Straut has earned recognition for her ability to translate personal experience into universally resonant songs. As 303 Magazine noted, “there is something about a girl and a guitar that can tug at those heartstrings… Straut pulls from her personal experiences to give her songs a deep sense of emotion that listeners can empathize with regardless of their own experiences.” Influenced by a wide range of artists—from classic ’60s folk and jazz to contemporary voices like Mirah, Jolie Holland, Amos Lee, and Brandi Carlile—Straut delivers a sound that is both timeless and distinctly her own. Available in solo, duo, trio, and full band formats, she offers a versatile live experience backed by an extensive catalog of original music alongside thoughtfully curated covers.
