Denver-based DJ, James Compton, discovered his passion for music at the age of 13 in the heart of Nashville. Immersing himself in the art of DJing, he learned to spin using well-worn records on vinyl turntables. His skills were honed as a DJ in the underground music scene as he performed at house parties and independent shows, cultivating his unconventional, genre-blending style. By high school graduation, James was touring with a Nashville-based collective, curating dynamic sets that energized crowds. After stepping away for a time to focus on academic pursuits, a transformative journey to Ibiza reignited his passion for music, inspiring his return to the decks with a renewed artistic vision and an evolved approach. Drawing major influence from the pioneering electronic music producers of the late ‘80s and early '90s, James seamlessly blends Synthwave, Deep, Organic, and Melodic House to create an immersive auditory experience. His ability to meticulously layer elements of Indie Dance, and other retro sonic textures allows him to transform any venue into a captivating and euphoric atmosphere.
