Wilco is an American alternative rock band formed in Chicago in 1994. They emerged from the breakup of the alt-country group Uncle Tupelo, with Jeff Tweedy and John Stirratt being the only consistent members from the original lineup. Wilco is known for their eclectic sound, blending elements of alternative rock, classic pop, and experimental music, and has released eleven studio albums.
